The unit has been old-fashioned twice and works perfectly. In addition, when I had a put a question to about the unit, the tech help folks were correct there with fast, courteous information. For their size, these heaters do not have the raw output of something like a "Buddy Heater." However, there are some vast differences. Buddy Heaters do not work above 7,000 feet. Therefore, of runt utilize in Colorado. Second, these heaters burn exceptionally elegant requiring very limited ventillation. Previously, I was using a aesthetic kerosene heater to hold my enclosed trailer warm during hunting season. It took immense amounts of ventillation to maintain the carbon monoxide detector from going off (read "to halt alive".) A dapper efficient burning process is valuable for me when I utilize the heater for my hunting trailer. In addition, because these heaters hook up to a vast propane tank, they can hurry for a very long time with no input from the user. I am very glad with this unit.
I have purchased this plan and regret it. It puts out a peculiar smell that I have never encountered before. The heating pad seems to be working at about a 15% efficiency and does not evenly heat. The heat output is nowhere come what I heard other buyers recount. The manufacturer seems like really nice folk and they will fix the unit they say and even pay for shipping. The jam is that this is my notable heat source and it will be about a two week turn around. I live in the middle of nowhere where electrical blackouts are reality so I am faced with purchasing a second propane unit to have heat for two weeks while this one is being made accurate obsessively. The manufacturer is sympathetic, but will offer no thought to hold me warm for that two weeks other than the comforting statement that it is chilly where they live too. I wish there where mild American companies who could stand late there work. My as well engage a product made in China if the quality here is a thing of the past. Call the manufacturer to discuss there sinful catalytic pad scrape before risking money on any heater from CAMCO.
